VERSION THREE
Fairing widened, windshield cuts into handgrips and is modded a few times, fairing taped together with red tape (almost blends in), seat needs a rebuild, dash gauge is minimal and to be replaced soon, fairing needs many more mods, no mirrors, turn signals, or other lights yet, need matching bolts, paint, and cosmetics, more voltage too.
Doing range testing now with different fairing configurations. Knees and head within fairing now. Making aerodynamic sides, bottom, and wheel covers.

Economy riding mostly means no full throttle, gradual starts, and steady speeds at 55mph or below. We wanted to get 100 mile range at 70mph with the fewest batteries. So far, it takes about 225 pounds of batteries from EV-Battery.com to do it, but we hope to lower battery poundage soon. If you only need city range, you can lower the purchase price quite a lot, and still have outstanding performance.
The evDaytona will do 0 to 60 in 2.7 seconds with 35 pounds of batteries. When we did full throttle starts and stops continuously, we shortened range by 50%. If we take it easy and do 0 to 60 in 6 seconds and steady speeds, we get 15 miles range between charges with the same 35 pounds of batteries. That means you could have a spare pack of batteries waiting at your destination, or carry them for the extra range. They charge from empty to full in less than 10 minutes if you have an expensive charger, or in a few hours with economy chargers. The batteries are the lithium ion nanotech phosphate that is fire safe and non-toxic. They last over five years and have no liquids or fumes or explosive properties.
The design can be modified to be a DC system or different performance pretty easily. But range of most systems will not vary too much. Selected speed, acceleration, and aerodynamics are primary concerns for range. Moving parts weight (especially weight in the tires and wheels) are very important. Carried weight is a lot less important.
We are willing to build to your spec or needs. If you want to build your own, we can supply a kit, or parts, or tech help. Quotes upon request, with build time about four weeks.
